Having a hard time keeping your students organized?


Good morning!

Trying to be productive during maternity leave is harder than I thought. I thought my baby would be on more of a predictable schedule by now, but here we are. I guess I should have seen this coming!

Today's blog post is some of my favorite organization tips for keeping my middle school students organized. As a special education teacher, a lot of my students struggle with the executive functioning skills that are needed to keep themselves organized without support. I spend a lot of time working with my students on creating and maintaining systems of organization that will work for them. There is not a one-size fits all approach to organization, but here are a few tips of things that I have had success with in the past.

Have you read the Rebecca Yarros books? I am not as in love with them as it seems like everyone else is, but I found the first two books pretty entertaining. I decided to buy the third one last week because I was afraid if I didn't read it soon I'd be accidentally spoiled.
