Is Your Co-Taught Classroom More "Co-Chaos" Than "Co-Planned"? 😬

We love co-teaching. Two brains, two perspectives, double the potential for magic!

But let’s be honest: co-teaching often means two teachers trying to fit double the supplies into the same square footage. If your classroom feels like a beautiful, inspiring, but ultimately unlabeled disaster zone, you know the drill:

  • The 45-second frantic search for the one stapler while 30 students wait.
  • The mystery of whose lesson plan folder is whose (it’s always the blue one).
  • The existential dread of trying to find the tiny manipulatives you know you bought.

It’s easy to feel like you need a full renovation, but the truth is, you just need a few strategic tools.

We compiled a list of 5 budget-friendly, must-have tools that act like tiny, silent partners in your room, ensuring that your co-teaching space is truly collaborative, not constantly confusing.

We're talking about simple items like photo cases, slash jackets, and the power of a single rolling cart—all used in genius new ways to keep both teachers organized and sane. No more accidentally grading your partner's pile of papers!

It’s time to stop the supply scavenger hunt and get back to the brilliant teaching you and your partner do best.

I'm currently reading The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store by James McBride. This has been on my TBR list for a while now and I'm finally getting around to it. I'm really enjoying it so far, but my little boss doesn't let me get a lot of reading in these days so it's a slow go for me.

Happy organizing (and collaborating!),

XOXO,

Katie
